Overview
A PE-backed advertising business with £20m turnover is looking for a qualified Interim Management Accountant to support the finance function during a period of growth and change. This is a hands-on role with ownership of the month-end process, management reporting, and day-to-day support to the Financial Controller and CFO. Experience working in a project-based or creative industry will be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and support board pack preparation
- Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts (accruals, prepayments, WIP, revenue)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Business partner with stakeholders across client services and operations
- Contribute to process improvement and ensure financial controls are fit for purpose
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior finance as needed
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Prior experience in a PE-backed or high-growth SME environment
- Background in advertising, media, or other project-based businesses preferred
- Comfortable owning the numbers and working independently in a lean team
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and delivery-focused approach
- Available at short notice
