Interim Senior Matron – Private Care | Band 8b | 6 Months | London | 30 hours/week

Are you a visible, compassionate, and clinically credible senior nurse leader with a passion for delivering excellence in patient care? We’re on the lookout for an experienced Interim Senior Matron to provide operational and clinical leadership across private inpatient services for a prestigious NHS organisation in London.

This is a vital role where you’ll champion high-quality, person-centred care, lead on quality improvement initiatives, and be the professional voice for nursing within a private care setting. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, contributing to strategy, service development and transformation that enhances patient experience and outcomes.

This is a part-time (30 hours/week), fixed-term contract for 6 months, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a forward-thinking, supportive leadership team.

What you’ll bring:

Significant senior nursing experience at Band 8b or equivalent
A strong understanding of private care or specialist inpatient services

A proactive and collaborative leadership style

Demonstrated ability to lead quality, workforce and service improvements

Registered Nurse (NMC) with evidence of CPD
