Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customised services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.
In this exciting, interim role, you’ll be part of the growing internal audit team who use their expertise to independently evaluate and report to the highest level in the organisation.
You’ll be supporting internal audits focussing on the evaluation of key risks that fall within the areas of Financial Crime, Conduct and Compliance. The broad remit will provide you with an excellent overview of these functions and offer a chance to make a difference.

This is a fixed-term contract until 1st May 2026.
The difference you’ll make:
- Supporting internal audit activities to assess the management and control of risks
- Identifying and assessing individual risks, controls and impacts on business areas
- Ensuring that all work undertaken meets agreed timescales and complies with quality requirements
- Collaborating with other teams, managing relationships and influencing key stakeholders across the business as part of your audit work
- Producing management information (MI) for Senior Management
- Reviewing and challenging procedures or risk management practices using internal and external data to support decisions
What you’ll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- Previous experience in an internal audit or assurance role within investment banking
- Good working knowledge of Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance frameworks in which financial institutions operate (UK and European)
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Relevant audit, compliance or Financial Crime qualifications or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- In-depth understanding of risk and strategy

This fixed term contract role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).
