We’re currently recruiting for an Internal Communications Adviser to support a range of exciting initiatives aimed at engaging our colleagues. The Internal Communications team exists to help the FCA workforce be the best it can be. Working closely with HR and stakeholders across the organisation, the team provides expert communications advice and delivers insight-led, outcome-driven messaging to over 5,000 colleagues.

As part of the wider Communications Directorate—which also covers public affairs, media relations, our external website and publications—the Internal Communications team plays a vital role in shaping how we communicate internally. Together, we influence opinions and behaviours to support consumers, drive growth and combat financial crime.

It’s an exciting time to join us. We’ve recently expanded our team and are evolving how we work to deliver more engaging, insight-led, audience-focused communications. If you’re looking to be part of a supportive and dynamic team, enjoy working across a wide range of issues and are ready to be challenged, curious and creative—then we’d love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

  • Partnering with stakeholders to deliver internal communications campaigns and announcements that stand out in a busy landscape
  • Creating strategic communications plans that are insight-led, audience-focused and proportionate to the message
  • Drafting and editing content for a range of internal channels—including news articles, blogs and senior leader messaging
  • Curating and coordinating messaging across the internal communications team to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Managing and evolving our channels, ensuring they meet audience needs and reflect best practice in internal communications
  • Publishing content on our intranet and other internal platforms, ensuring timely and relevant updates

What will you get from the role?

  • Ownership of end-to-end campaigns, from strategy through to delivery
  • Creative freedom to shape tone, messaging and execution across multiple channels
  • Exposure to complex topics, with the opportunity to simplify and clarify for a diverse internal audience
  • Collaboration with a dynamic team, where ideas are shared, challenged and celebrated
  • Trusted adviser status, building strong relationships across the organisation and influencing how messages are delivered
  • A fast-paced, varied environment, where your ability to manage competing priorities will be key to success

Which skills are required?

We are a Disability Confident Employer; therefore, disabled people or individuals with long-term conditions who best meet the minimum criteria for a role will go through to the next stage of the recruitment process. (To learn more about the Disability Confident Scheme Click Here)
