We are looking for an Internal Operational Account Manager to join our hugely successful market leading international road logistics team in Basingstoke. This role will be perfect to showcase your demonstrable experience,that you are be able to take on an existing portfolio and help to retain and grow the accounts within that portfolio.
The Operational Account Manager will be responsible for managing, maintaining and growing existing accounts. As part of the role, you will have a designated portfolio in which you will have responsibility for managing against designated targets and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
How you create impact
- Record daily sales activity on branch boards.
- Monitor existing accounts trading patterns using an account tracker to ensure revenue and volumes are maintained.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports for the branch manager to demonstrate activity and achievement against targets.
- Maintain and grow business revenue, where there are opportunities, to achieve branch monthly sales targets.
- Maintain and increase the revenue of the account base.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and health and that of colleagues; in accordance with company safety and health rules. Do not ignore a safety hazard or near miss; report it promptly.

- Solid understanding of Freight Forwarding. Extensive knowledge of forwarding techniques and a customer-centric approach.
- Display a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence individuals, both within and outside the organization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize conflicting tasks.
