Join Endress+Hauser as an Internal Sales Engineer at our South Manchester Sales Centre. In this role, you’ll provide expert sales and technical support to customers across the UK, helping to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities for an Internal Sales Engineer:
- Manage and pre-qualify incoming customer enquiries—both technically and commercially—and negotiate terms.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and compelling proposals.
- Use Salesforce and SAP to collaborate on business opportunities and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain and manage the sales pipeline from opportunity to closure, including forecasting and probability tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer performance and satisfaction.
- Own and manage customer accounts, ensuring database accuracy and integrity.
- Promote and support our digital sales platform.
- Continuously identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing product training to enhance technical knowledge.
- Liaise with colleagues across departments to deliver seamless customer service.
Qualifications and Profile of an Internal Sales Engineer:
- A technical degree or equivalent industry qualification is advantageous.
- GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Experience in engineering, ideally within instrumentation or automation (preferred but not essential).
- Proven sales experience in an engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills and confidence using digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and thrive both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with a consultative sales approach and skilled in effective questioning techniques.
