About the Role:
One of our Key Business focuses is International sales growth. We currently sell to over 88 countries with sales rapidly accelerating. We are now looking for an
International Buyer that can develop our International branded buying strategy, create a regionally considered brand portfolio with targeted brand recruitment & optimise sales opportunities.
This role will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, self motivated buyer to embrace the challenge of starting a new project and nurturing its growth from the start. You will be responsible for planning and driving the International buying strategy.
Delivering agreed KPIs for sales, markdown and profit. The job would be based in our Leicester office and would require regular travel to London & our UK brand partners. The role would also require International travel to meet with prospective new partners as well as research and competition shopping trips.
Within the role you will be:
- Drive and develop an International buying strategy.
- Identify key perspective brand partners and recruit them to Next / Seasons (New premium website by Next). Product remit across Womenswear, Menswear, and Childrenswear departments.
- Develop a commercially successful product range, taking into consideration seasonal opportunities as well as regional product opportunities.
- Trading the ranges and acting quickly to identify new product opportunities.
- Working closely with the merchandise team to plan and analyse data to drive buying decisions.
- Working with the e-commerce team to optimise online sales through the use of TOV, imagery and other optimisation tools.
- Liaising with our Marketing team to organise campaign and ecom shoots, within department budgets.
- Working cross departmentally with the branded buying teams to support their international recruitment ambitions.
About You:
You will have previous experience at a Senior Branded Buyer level.
You will bring a proactive approach, be a commercially savvy professional with a keen eye for product, data and detail. Confident in building relationships across teams, you thrive in collaborative environments and know how to influence decision-making at all levels.
Your experience in trading, ranging, and brand management means you understand how to translate insights into action. A highly organised self-starter, you are driven to deliver measurable impact and take pride in pushing the brand forward within a fast-paced retail setting. A passion for brand excellence and sustainability will see you stand out in this role.

- Have existing brand relationships & ability to forge strong brand relationships.
- Have excellent market, trend, and brand knowledge.
- Can interpret the latest trends for the target customer.
- Clear understanding of brand DNA and strategic vision.
- Proven track record to identify opportunities.
- Ability to influence.
- Excellent analytical and planning skills.
- Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Enthusiastic attitude and team player.
