Job Description
Purpose of Position
The International Commercial Advisor assists with providing international information, advice and pricing for internal Sales & CRM teams. This also includes lead sourcing and actively promoting new international products and services to new or existing customers. They represent the entire range of DPD Groups International offering, producing reports to support and monitor the growth of our international strategic customers. The also will support external customers through out International experts Desk with our products and services or industry knowledge.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- To check over and send reports and stats to our international strategic customers
- To update customers on international service alerts and notices
- Support external customers through the International experts desks with products, services and industry changes
- Support with the implementation and set up of our international products and services
- To handle inbound and outbound calls, answering inquiries by clarifying desired information, researching, resolving problems, exploring options, providing solutions, locating and issuing information
- Ensure all emails that are received into the department are managed within an service level agreement of 24hours
- To provide all sales executives and account managers with pricing on all international products and services upon request.
- To record and log all pricing enquiries. This also includes the outcome of the pricing once supplied
- Update sales personnel and external customers of any country, service, product, competitor information or presentation material
- Lead sourcing and actively promote new and additional product and services to new and existing customers
- To ensure all pricing enquires and tenders are submitted and completed on time
- To monitor, oversee and support international customers who are at risk or are a new customer
- As and when required, to support or to be involved in international projects
- Prepares and provides stats and data on international customers for reviews and presentations
- As and when to support with training, inductions and presenting international information to internal staff or customers
Key Measures of performance
- Agreed short term project KPIS
- Number of successfully handled emails
- Time keeping
- Number of pricing enquiries and the outcome
- Upsell and new business revenue to support our international target
- Call monitoring
- Strategic customer reports are issued daily before 4pm or by the agreed date / time.
Qualifications
About You
Ideally your career history will be able to evidence success within a telesales, customer services or target driven environment however this is not essential. It would also be advantageous if you have experience within an international distribution and/ or supply chain environment. You will also;
- Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Have good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong administrative skills and computer literate
- Be enthusiastic, motivated, flexible and adaptable to change
