The International eCommerce Third Parties team is recruiting an eCommerce Trading Lead to be at the forefront of our global growth! The International eCommerce Trading team fuels global growth by managing and optimising online product sales across 72 international markets. They drive exciting product launches, strategic promotions, and collaborate with leading third-party platforms to maximise sales and brand visibility worldwide.
Within this, the Third Parties team help connect NEXT with other large selling platforms such as Zalando and Amazon to sell thousands of products. These platforms delivered strong growth for NEXT last year and to continue to support this growth we need ever improving data points and manipulation.
The role
As an eCommerce Trading Lead, you will be a driving force behind sales and profitability in the Third parties team. Day to day you will be reviewing sales data and analysing it to provide useful insights to drive sales growth and to increase profitability. Reviewing our Third Party platforms such as Amazon to maximise shoppability of customers & increasing conversion and visibility on site.
What else is involved?
- Review sales data weekly, finding opportunities to maximise sales to achieve our sales targets.
- Amazon Trading experience is ideal but not essential.
- Optimise our Third party platforms, reviewing onsite content to ensure customer experience of Next group products are the best they can be.
- Working closely with our Third Party partners building a strong relationship and collaborating to drive sales opportunities.
- Reviewing marketing opportunities, understanding what is and isnt working and working closely with the marketing team on future strategies.
- Collaborating with product teams, guiding them on performance and within the platforms and helping them to understand opportunities for product and cultural differences.
- Be aware and on the third party sites / app regularly checking for errors and ensuring customer journeys are perfect
- Educate yourself to know and understand the Next customer, across all sales channels, in the UK and internationally.
- Translate ideas into practical solutions that improve performance internationally.
- Build a close understanding of the trading calendars & customer shopping behaviours in our key countries and third party sales channel s.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a commercially minded and analytical person who can turn data into actionable opportunities, prioritising effectively to drive category growth and resolve platform issues. Proactive and results driven, you'll take ownership of your platform, identifying future opportunities and risks to maximise performance.
Collaboration and communication is key - you'll work closely with external partners to build strong relationships and identify opportunities, while also leveraging internal networks across marketing, trading and finance to shape a long-term vision and hit sales targets.
You’ll have experience in an eCommerce trading-related role, with Amazon trading knowledge as a bonus. This fast-paced role requires someone highly organised, highly analytical, adaptable and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience within online marketplaces is advantageous but not essential for this role.
