How You Will Make An Impact
The International Learning Partner, Commercial and Global Personal Lines is a senior learning advisor responsible for translating business needs into strategic learning solutions for a complex and diverse book of global insurance business. This role partners closely with business leaders across multiple geographies to define, implement, and continuously evolve development strategies that enhance professional, managerial, and leadership capabilities across underwriting, claims, distribution, and operational roles. In addition, this role will lead the UK-based School Leavers Program, ensuring compliance with the UK Apprenticeship Levy and delivering high-quality early career development experiences.
- Act as the primary learning advisor for the International Commercial and Global Personal Lines leadership teams, aligning development initiatives with business goals and operational priorities.
- Co-develop segment-specific learning strategies in collaboration with global and regional leaders, HRBPs, and subject matter experts.
- Provide guidance and support to regional learning partners and ensure consistency and local relevancy for global program delivery and learner experience across geographies.
- Lead and develop a small team of L&D professionals; provide coaching, direction, and performance oversight.
- Facilitate high-impact learning experiences across in-person and virtual formats, using proven adult learning principles to engage participants, drive behaviour change, and reinforce application of skill in the workplace.
- Act as the lead for the UK School Leavers Program, ensuring alignment with the Apprenticeship Levy framework and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and delivery partners supporting apprenticeship programs and technical development pathways.
- Track learning effectiveness using relevant metrics and drive data-informed decisions to enhance impact and efficiency.
- Represent the business segments in enterprise learning councils, governance forums, and annual planning processes.
What You Need To Know
- Experience in learning and development, talent management, or business advisory roles, preferably within insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of commercial and personal lines insurance products, operating models, and talent priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior business and HR leaders across functions and geographies.
- Experience with UK Apprenticeship Levy programs and/or early careers development preferred.
- Excellent project management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Comfort with matrixed environments, global coordination, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
- Track record of building, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions tied to business performance.
- Experience facilitating learning sessions, team development experiences, and leadership programs in a corporate setting.
