Do you have brilliant international private medical insurance (IPMI) pricing skills? We’re looking for an International Pricing Analyst to join our team for a 12-month secondment opportunity.
You’ll ensure risks proposed from the international market are provided with challenge, commercial assessment, plus legal and compliance review. You’ll ensure elements including distribution, claims handling and provider arrangements have been considered and that regulatory assessment is within AXA’s risk appetite.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
- Offer challenge and assessment to new and renewal product and reinsurance international marketplace opportunities.
- Assess risk proposals from direct insurance and treaty and facultative reinsurance contracts.
- Provide quality analysis and pricing insights to understand IPMI and international local affluent area.
- Review technical pricing submissions for treaty and facultative submissions.
- Take ownership of projects.
- Deliver accurate and reasoned assessment on legal and regulatory compliance across global territories
- Manage monthly International Product Development Committee, ensuring propositions are supported with AXA Health compliant documentation for viability and launch approval.
- Liaise with Group Underwriting Office and provide recommendations of risk acceptance or declinature.

What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a Pricing Analyst or Pricing Underwriter in IPMI, plus either direct or reinsured markets – essential.
- Ability to identify a risk within a proposal that could be detrimental to AXA Health – essential.
- Knowledge of data limitations, what data is available by territory, and which data is the most appropriate to use – essential.
- Appreciation of actuarial pricing methods – preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical, presentational, and influencing skills used to challenge the status quo and mitigate risk to AXA Health.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
