This is an opportunity to work with international students from around the world and to support compliance with their visa requirements. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, this is an interesting role working as part of a growing immigration compliance and advice team.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Knowledge of and empathy for international student support and visa advice.
- Experience of working independently and ability to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands
- Excellent interpersonal skills - being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students in distress
- Excellent active listening skills and communication skills
- Constructive team player, demonstrating ability to work collaboratively, with a strong commitment to equality and inclusion
- Ability to understand the need for boundary setting when working with students and their visa responsibilities.
This is a fixed term post for two-years.
