Make an Impact within our Corporate Tax team at RSM UK

Our international tax specialists in our London office work closely with our broad range of large international clients and help manage their international tax affairs, including their approach to Pillar Two compliance and advisory, whilst also acting as expert advisors across other areas of corporate tax and tax accounting. The team supports businesses at all stages of their Pillar Two journey including risk assessment, tax accounting and audit support, complex issues and compliance.

As an International Tax Manager in our London office contributing to our Pillar Two team, you will be an integral part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team and be in an environment where you will have the opportunity to accelerate your knowledge, skills and development in a creative, entrepreneurial and supportive team, working with lots of fantastic clients along the way. You will be responsible for supporting business development activities where you will work with senior team members to develop opportunities and input into proposals. You’ll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Operating as a key client contact to a variety of clients with international tax challenges and therefore having regular dialogue with key members of the client’s team and working internally to plan the delivery of work.
  • Working closely with your colleagues to provide value adding, technically accurate, clear and concise international tax advice covering a range of technical issues relevant to your clients’ business risks, challenges and opportunities. Such areas are likely to include Pillar Two, tax relief on interest, group reorganisations, shareholder reorganisations, tax accounting, other international tax matters and acquisitions & disposals.
  • Building your external network of peers (client and non-client).
  • Assisting colleagues in other departments to help them provide a high-quality service to their clients and to identify tax related risks and opportunities for their clients. This will include working with our transactions team on tax due diligence projects and our restructuring advisory team on distress or insolvency cases.
  • Continually improving your skills, knowledge and capability for the benefit of our clients which you will be expected to embrace as part of your own development and promote by way of providing coaching and guidance to junior members of the team in a confident manner.

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • ACA, ACCA and/or CTA (part) qualified.
  • Background in an accountancy practice with good knowledge of corporate tax.
  • International tax advisory and compliance experience, including Pillar Two exposure.
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Experience of using specialist tax software is advantageous.

What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • 26 days holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)
  • Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse talent development team.
