Investment Associate (with FDD experience) – UK Lower Mid-Market Private Equity

Altus Partners is delighted to be partnering with a highly entrepreneurial UK lower mid-market investor. The firm has a strong track record of backing ambitious management teams and delivering value across a diverse portfolio of sectors. With a dynamic and hands-on investment approach, the fund is now seeking to hire an Investment Associate to support its continued growth.

This is a full deal coverage role, offering broad exposure across origination, execution, and portfolio management. You will work as part of a lean investment team, gaining significant responsibility and direct access to senior decision-makers, while building on your foundation in transaction services and financial due diligence.

THE ROLE:

• Support the origination and evaluation of new investment opportunities across the UK lower mid-market.
• Lead detailed financial modelling and analysis to assess potential transactions.
• Drive execution workstreams, including due diligence coordination, deal structuring, and negotiations.
• Engage directly with management teams and external advisors throughout the investment process.
• Contribute to ongoing portfolio management and value creation initiatives post-investment.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• ACA qualified (Big 4 or equivalent) with a background in Financial Due Diligence (FDD).
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to assess investment opportunities in detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• A genuine passion for private equity investing in the lower mid-market.
