Programme Overview
Our Off-cycle Analyst programme is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of work within Investment Banking.
The Global Industries Group (GIG) team covers the broadest array of investment banking clients across essential sectors such as Automotive, Building Materials, Business Services, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Packaging, Transportation, Infrastructure and more. GIG is among the largest teams at BofA with 50+ bankers covering some the most well-known Industrial companies across the EMEA region and collaborating everyday with our banking partners in the US and in APAC. An Analyst position in the GIG team offers extensive exposure to live deals across all key investment banking products including M&A, equity capital markets and leveraged finance. Through those live deals, Analysts will interact with clients early and quickly grow into critical team members involved in crafting and delivering client solutions across a range of strategic topics. The GIG team is one of the most diverse in the bank with a range of academic and cultural backgrounds represented across the group. In addition, a strong culture of mentorship ensures a rich and continuous learning experience as you build and deepen your career with the team.
Training and Development
Your training and development are our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.
Responsibilities:
As an Off-cycle Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups providing you with a unique learning opportunity
- Help the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities
- Actively contribute to the preparation of client presentations and underlying financial analysis
- Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future careers
- Actively participate in executing transactions, including work with clients as well as representatives of other investment banks and other advisors
Eligibility:
- Candidates are required to have already received or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- For candidates who have already graduated, the graduation date is required to be between January and September 2025.
- For candidates who are still pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, the completion time frame must be before January 2026. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer.
- Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent
- Must be available to join the programme from Monday 19th January for a period of six months. If candidates were to receive a full-time offer, then they must be available to join the graduate programme from July 2026. Please note that we are unable to offer any deferred start dates.

- Fluency in English is essential for all roles
- You will need to demonstrate drive, innovation, and a genuine interest in the financial markets
- Teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people
- Display analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as financial and commercial acumen
- Influence decisions and outcomes through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty and professionalism in all interactions
