Job Title: Business Architect – Life & Pensions Insurance Applications
Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid / Remote options available)

We are seeking an experienced
Business Architect with strong knowledge of Life & Pensions products and systems (including Life/400 and Integral Life Classic) to join our Insurance Software team. This role will be central in bridging business needs with technology solutions, shaping transformation programmes, and ensuring that our solutions align with insurers’ strategic objectives.
The Role
The Business Architect defines the business architecture of life insurance and pensions solutions within client programmes, aligning business processes, information, and systems to deliver measurable value. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex business requirements into coherent solution architectures that leverage DXC’s insurance applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to understand business strategies, operating models, and challenges in Life & Pensions
- Develop business architectures that align business goals with technology solutions (Life/400, Integral Life Classic, and related systems)
- Define target business capabilities, processes, and information models to support transformation objectives
- Collaborate with programme managers, solution architects, and delivery teams to ensure business requirements are fully addressed
- Shape business cases and roadmaps for transformation and system modernisation initiatives
- Provide subject matter expertise on life insurance and pensions products (traditional and unit-linked)
- Lead workshops with client stakeholders to validate requirements and business process designs
- Act as a key link between business leaders, IT, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and traceability of requirements through to implementation
- Identify opportunities for business and process optimisation across life insurance operations
- Contribute to governance, ensuring that solution delivery is consistent with business objectives
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Life & Pensions insurance products and operations, particularly policy administration
- Experience working with Life/400, Integral Life Classic, or similar Life & Pensions platforms
- Demonstrated experience in business architecture, business analysis, or enterprise transformation roles
- Ability to model and map business processes and define target business capabilities
- Experience shaping and supporting transformation programmes within the insurance industry
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering value
- Ability to bridge business and IT perspectives, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment
Desirable
- TOGAF or other architecture frameworks (e.g. BIZBOK) certification
- Exposure to Agile/SAFe delivery environments
- Familiarity with integration, digitalisation, and data modernisation in Life & Pensions
