Department Overview
The role sits within the Masters Team and will primarily support the Risk Solutions business with fund-level hedging.
The Masters Team sits within the wider Markets Documentation and Advisory Legal Team and is comprised of 5 onshore lawyers and negotiators. The Masters Team is responsible for the execution of derivatives and financing master agreements and ancillary documentation as well as legal opinions pertaining to netting and collateral.

Key objectives critical to success:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Risk Solutions business to (i) negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, guarantees and ancillary documentation with various types of funds including private equity/debt funds across multiple jurisdictions, (ii) review and advise on issues such as capacity and authority, and applicability of netting and (iii) document transactions under long form confirmations.
The candidate will have extensive fund experience and understand various fund structures, the level of the hedging entity, the mechanics of the operative documents and credit related termination triggers. They will be supporting a demanding, dynamic business in a growth area.
The role will suit a candidate who has a strong background in negotiating master agreements, but at the same time is able to explain and advise internal stakeholders on legal risk, manage priorities, enjoys working collegiately directly with front office stakeholders and is strong at building relationships.
