IT Operations Apprentice

Plenitude Consulting based in Canary Wharf, London. We are a niche consultancy, specialising in Financial Crime Risk and Compliance. Our People Team have an opportunity for an Apprentice to join as a People Team Assistant Apprentice, to help our busy, experienced team with day-to-day activities/duties and to help you foster the best practices to begin your People Profession. On successfully passing your apprenticeship qualification, we are committed to offering a permanent position within our People Team.
Working hours: 40 hours per week full time. As an apprentice you will be spending 20% of your time on off-the job learning, which includes online lectures/tutorials with your training provider.
We are looking for an
IT Operations Apprentice to support our IT & Information function, which sits within our Operations department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and ready to thrive in a fast-moving environment. You will gain hands-on experience across IT support, AI support, and operational processes, working with a dynamic team to help drive our business forward.

You Will Be Involved In
- Providing first-line IT support to staff and end-users
- Assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Supporting the deployment and maintenance of IT systems and devices
- Helping with the setup and monitoring of AI tools and solutions
- Assisting in operational processes such as asset management, documentation, and workflow optimisation
- Participating in IT and operations projects as required
- Maintaining accurate records of support requests and resolutions
- Ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to staff queries and resolve basic technical issues
- Set up and configure new devices for staff
- Support software installations and updates
- Support with IT & Information Security audits
- Help maintain IT asset inventory

- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of AI tools
- Provide basic support for AI-driven applications
- 3. Operations support
- Support operational process improvements
- Assist with documentation and reporting
What We Are Looking For

- Basic understanding of computer systems and software
- 2. Education & experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Some experience with computers (either through school, college, or personal interest)
- No prior work experience required full training will be provided
Desirable But Not Essential
- 1. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 or SharePoint
- 2. Awareness of information / cyber security best practices
- 3. Interest in AI and automation technologies
