Description
Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure and Cloud Support Engineer with L3 on Microsoft Server/Desktop Operating Systems? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as an IT Infrastructure and Cloud Support Engineer.

As an IT Infrastructure and Cloud Support Engineer, you will support and develop a reliable, resilient infrastructure to meet current and future business needs.

You will provide a BAU support function which covers the Azure Cloud and Infrastructure services. You will be monitoring the Service Desk Infrastructure, supporting queue and ensuring all tickets are managed to completion in line with SLA. You will also ensure all daily/weekly/monthly BAU tasks are fulfilled across the wide scope covered

As an IT Infrastructure and Cloud Support Engineer, you will be:

  • Providing 3rd Line support and management across EHC Infrastructure
  • Incident management and service request delivery in line with IT department SLAs
  • Responding to alerts generated from infrastructure monitoring and security tools, and resolution within SLA
  • Infrastructure support covering Servers, EUC, Networking, Telephony and Security systems
  • Supporting a multi site environment including associated infrastructure
  • 3rd line Microsoft 365 support, covering the full suite of M365 including Microsoft Endpoint Management (Intune), AAD, Exchange Online, Teams
  • Day to day support and administration of MS Azure
  • 2nd line Networking support and administration
  • Problem management, including root cause analysis and pro-active identification of infrastructure risks and issues
  • Contributing to the IT roadmap and service improvement plans for infrastructure services, with particular focus on Microsoft technologies
  • Implementing changes in line with the IT change management process and CAB
  • Creation of documentation to reflect existing systems, infrastructure & processes; also ensuring that documentation is maintained and kept up to date.
  • Monitor key health signs of infrastructure and respond to actual or predicted issues within SLA and with the minimum impact to business operation.
  • Ensures all systems are patched, supported, maintained and updated including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery initiatives including regular testing and ensure skills and knowledge across systems are maintained to assist with DR invocation.
  • Contributing to the IT roadmap and service improvement plans for infrastructure services, with particular focus on Microsoft technologies

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Proven experience to L3 on Microsoft Server/Desktop Operating Systems– Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of Networking fundamentals (subnetting, WAN, LAN, L1 L2 and L3 routing and switching) – Essential
  • 3rd line experience of managing and maintaining Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/GPO Administration – Essential
  • Advanced knowledge and experience supporting O365 – Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of Azure – Essential
  • L3 experience supporting servers, storage, networking and security - Essential
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral – Essential
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 – Essential
  • Knowledge of Storage Technologies (SAN, NAS, and RAID) – Advantageous
  • Knowledge of HP/Aruba LAN switching – Advantageous
  • Knowledge of Cisco Meraki Wireless - Advantageous
  • Knowledge of on prem hosted telephony platforms – Advantageous
  • Knowledge of firewalls technologies – Advantageous
  • Knowledge of networking monitoring tools – Advantageous
  • Expert level Windows Server knowledge and support
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of security tooling and concepts
  • Knowledge of on prem/cloud hosted telephony platforms
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with IT teams, IT users and third-party vendors
  • Experience working to ITIL best practice, ITIL Foundation qualified (desirable)
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 – Essential
