About Us
The End User Computing (EUC) team, within TfL are responsible for all computing needs of our 30000+ users. We are responsible the provisioning of laptops, desktop, remote desktop solutions, identity, authentication, operating systems, fixed and mobile telephony, unified comms, printing, AV equipment in meeting rooms, and the provisioning of the circa 550 desktop applications that operate on the OneLondon domain.
In conjunction with our technology peers, EUC services underpin all the work and productivity delivered by all Transport for London staff which ultimately keep TfL services running. Our work to provision and maintain IT services spans across the entire organisation, therefore our services are required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
About The Role
As an Infrastructure Manager, you will be accountable for all the Identity, authentication, and Citrix services within your function. You will be responsible for leading a team of Identity and Citrix specialists carrying out daily tasks to ensure the robust availability of the critical technical services within your control. You will be a figure head to projects, agreeing actions and deliverables and overseeing the successful delivery of outcomes by providing great leadership with your stakeholders and your staff.
BAU Function – primary focus is to prevent outages through checks and monitoring, and if a failure does occur, identifying the root cause and restoring the service.
Build & Delivery Function – delivering specific project outcomes, and new services, related to the environment you are responsible for, including proof of concepts activities. Collaboration with our team of Technical Delivery Managers, and often Infrastructure Architects is key, to help deliver these outcomes.
Lifecycle and CSI Function – ensuring that tools and platforms remain upgraded and compliant to keep them safe from cyber-attacks, stable, and fully supported.
Working closely with our team of Technical Delivery Managers to deliver improvements to existing infrastructure.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
- Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team of technical specialists.
- Good ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Resource management skills
- Citrix DaaS and NetScalers
- Windows operating systems current, past and future
- Active Directory & associated technologies, multi factor authentication
- PowerShell – to enable automation through scripting
- Knowledge of SAN, NAS and Host connectivity to Windows
- Forcepoint, Trend and Windows Defender Security Solutions
- F5 load balancing technology
