Job Title: IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: London or Edinburgh (4 days per week on-site)

Employment Type: Permanent

We are currently supporting one of our IT consultancy clients who are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager with strong experience delivering end-user and infrastructure projects within a financial services environment.

This role requires strong project management fundamentals and a solid Waterfall delivery background. This is not a Programme Manager or Product Owner role.

IT Infrastructure Project Manager – Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver end-user and infrastructure IT projects from initiation to closure
Manage the full project lifecycle using Waterfall methodology
Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies
Ensure compliance with financial services governance and controls

Produce clear project documentation and reporting

Provide transparent communication to senior stakeholders

IT Infrastructure Project Manager – Key Skills Required

Proven experience as an IT Project Manager (not Programme Manager)
Strong experience delivering end-user and/or infrastructure projects
Financial services industry experience
Strong Waterfall delivery background (Agile exposure acceptable but not a substitute)
Excellent core project management fundamentals
Strong stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

Experience in other regulated industries
Vendor and third-party supplier management experience
