We are looking for a technically versatile IT/OT Systems Engineer who can operate with equal effectiveness in server rooms, on the manufacturing floor, or in discussions with digital teams. This individual will support and maintain both the infrastructure and applications used in our manufacturing environment, ensuring seamless operations that adhere to GMP standards. This position is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who thrives at the intersection of IT and OT, switching between systems-level problem-solving and on-the-ground operational support. You will collaborate closely with automation engineers, lab engineers, plant and operations teams, and the broader digital network, providing vital support across a range of technologies. This is a unique opportunity to support critical manufacturing and lab platforms, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and global operations. You will also play a key role in integrating and securing digital platforms, aligning with modern manufacturing strategies, and supporting innovation initiatives, including proximity to Generative AI-enabled tools.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure uninterrupted performance of systems that support GMP operations, including virtual machines, servers, and critical manufacturing applications.
- Troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure components such as VMware, Windows Servers, DNS/DHCP, network architecture, and wireless networks in GMP settings.
- Administer and support core manufacturing systems like Syncade, DeltaV, OSI PI, BMS, ThinManager, and various analytical instruments and label printers.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise digital teams to address compliance, security, and systems integration requirements.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to manufacturing and lab environments.
Your Responsibilities Will Also Include
- Partnering with scientists, engineers, and operators to design and implement scalable, efficient IT/OT systems and define Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Participating in digital initiatives that aim to tightly integrate IT/OT capabilities with research, manufacturing, and analytical science environments.
- Supporting qualification and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) in line with regulatory GxP frameworks.
- Providing strategic input to stakeholders on IT/OT tools and infrastructure necessary to meet evolving operational demands.
- Actively contributing to the implementation and troubleshooting of cybersecurity applications, as well as network topology optimization for lab and plant systems.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, physical science or related field or relevant experience
- 6+ years of experience working with IT/OT infrastructure in manufacturing, lab systems, control systems and building management systems
- Experience with IT/OT implementation with DCS, MES, BMS, PLC, OPC, HPLC, GC, LIMs, lab analyzers
- Prior experience working for a Pharmaceutical company required
- Experience working with virtual environment (VMware/Hyper-V) and/or cloud platform (AWS preferred)
- Experience working with RDBMS (SQL Server or Oracle)
- Experience working with application and web server (IIS)
- Experience working with backup/recovery systems (Acronis, Veeam, N2WS, etc.)
- Experience working with Cybersecurity endpoint protection applications (Crowdstrike, Symantec, McAfee, Carbon Black, etc.)
- Experience working with infrastructure tools (Dynatrace, Pager Duty, Splunk)
- Understanding of network routing, switching and firewall concepts
