IT Procurement Consultant - (Networks/Telco)

We are currently working with a highly respected boutique procurement consultancy to recruit an IT Procurement Consultant specialising in networks and telecommunications.

This is a client-side consulting role — not working for a large telco provider — ideal for someone with deep category knowledge who enjoys variety, stakeholder engagement, and delivering real value across multiple projects.

The Role

Working as part of a small, agile team of procurement specialists, you will:

• Lead sourcing and procurement projects across network infrastructure, WAN/LAN, unified comms, connectivity, and other telco-related services
• Develop and implement category strategies that deliver measurable savings and innovation
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring best-in-market commercial terms
• Advise clients on market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier capabilities
• Manage stakeholder relationships up to senior leadership level
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high professional standard

About You

• Proven experience in networks / telco procurement from the client side or consultancy side (not working for the telcos)
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable operating with senior executives
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, governance, and best practice
