Key Description:
We are seeking an IT Release & Environments Lead to join our insurance clients IT team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will ensure Production and Non-Production Environments (Dev, Test, Integration, E2E) are effectively managed, governed, and fit for purpose for use by development, testing, data, business-as-usual, and project teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with development, testing, infrastructure, and delivery teams to define environment requirements at each stage of the lifecycle
Championing FinOps practices to manage and optimise infrastructure spend
Developing and maintaining environment reporting and documentation
Coordinating the delivery of environments across development, testing, integration, and production
Working with technical specialists to define and document best practice standards
Supporting continuous improvement, including automation, new tools, and technology upgrades
Providing release management support and consultation to teams, service providers, and vendors
Skills & experience:
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Experience in cloud cost monitoring and optimisation is desirable
Understanding of IT release and environment management best practices (or willingness to learn)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
