We love what we do and what we do is important! We believe that everyone should leave feeling better - this means not just our guests, but also our teammates. Everyone should go home feeling better because they learned something new or had fun working that day. Therefore, we hire unique individuals who work together to create amazing experiences for our guests. We recognize that every member of the team contributes to the success of the whole hotel. No-one is more important than anyone else, and unless we are in it together, we can't create that special experience for our guests.

Your mission:

Should you decide to accept it...

We’re looking for an IT Security Analyst to help protect Virgin Hotels Collection’s computer networks and systems from cyber threats. This role plays a key part in supporting our infrastructure and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

You’ll work closely with teams across the business to help plan, implement, and monitor security measures. Whether you're identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, or educating others on best practices, your contribution will help keep our data and systems safe.

This role is ideal for someone with up to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity—or someone earlier in their career who’s eager to grow into a hands-on role in IT security.

What will you be doing...

Here’s a brief rundown of what you’ll get involved in:

  • Assess systems for potential vulnerabilities and contribute ideas for how to strengthen them.
  • Monitor networks and security logs for unusual activity or breaches.
  • Help shape and maintain our security policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
  • Support employee awareness by promoting security best practices, including spotting phishing and other common threats.
  • Monitor security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-malware solutions to help secure our tech environment.
  • Contribute to the testing and improvement of our disaster recovery plans.
  • Stay up to date on evolving threats, tools, and trends in cybersecurity.

What qualities are we looking for?

Here’s what would help you thrive in this role:

  • A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
  • A curious mindset and an innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Adaptable and able to switch between day-to-day tasks and larger projects
  • Motivated, optimistic, and energized by tech and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Self-starter who’s organized and proactive
  • Passionate about growing your knowledge and helping others do the same

Your ideal background & experience:

  • You must have current, legal, and unrestricted eligibility to work in the UK
  • A degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field—or combined with equivalent hands-on experience
  • Ideally up to 5 years in a cybersecurity or IT analyst role, but we welcome early-career applicants with the right skills and passion
  • Experience or familiarity with IT operations in a hospitality setting is a bonus
  • Strong interest in hotel tech environments, including systems and infrastructure
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

Here’s the deal:

  • Performance-based bonus, based on achievement of objectives
  • Office working hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00 am – 5.30pm. However, you would be required to work as and when necessary to fulfil your role. No overtime is payable
  • Hybrid working with at least 2 days working from the office a week
  • Occasional travel to our magical properties
  • 25 days paid holiday per year plus public holidays with additional days off during the year
  • Life assurance cover with us
  • You will be auto enrolled into the group pension scheme after completing 3 months service, however you can choose to opt in sooner. We will match your pension contributions up to 5%
  • We will contribute 50% towards private healthcare after 12 months service & then 100% after 2 years’ service.
  • Discounts on Virgin products
  • Fun and relaxed working environment

Tempting, right?

If this sounds like your next role, we’d love to hear from you very soon...
