IN YOUR NEW ROLE
You will focus on system integrations, ensuring that the many systems that CIH and our members use are able to communicate with each other so that data transmits securely, efficiently, and correctly between all systems. Working within the IT team and liaising with other internal departments and external third parties to develop, manage and support our integrations. In your exciting new role you will have the opportunity to overcome all technical challenges as you bring all CIH’s systems together as one.
YOUR MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
You will own all system integrations and be responsible for developing new and managing and supporting existing integrations.
You will provide technical support and assistance for our Commerce and Marketplace platforms.
You will liaise and co-ordinate with our Members, EPOS Providers and other third parties to integrate their systems with the systems that we use; to meet business requirements.
You will regularly report to the Head of IT on the progress of integrations that are being worked on, and any changes and improvements that could be made to existing integrations. Report and provide updates on any issues with existing integrations.
You will provide reports on the usage of the key integrations. Ensuring that integrations are not being mis-used or by unauthorised access. Ensuring that all integrations are being used within expected, allowed quotas so that unexpected additional costs are not incurred, keeping within budgets set out by the business.
You will write technical and functional documentation on all integrations and processes.
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL HAVE
A minimum of three years’ experience and/or qualifications for designing, developing, managing, supporting, and using APIs. Knowledge of REST APIs and ODATA would be advantageous.
A minimum of three years' experience working with JSON, XML and CSV files. Knowledge of file transformation techniques such as XSLT would be particularly beneficial.
A minimum of two years’ experience and/or qualifications managing and using SFTP servers and clients.
You will have a proven ability to use programming and scripting languages, preferably Java, JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell or Python. Intermediate generic SQL skills would be useful together with technical knowledge and understanding of different transmission protocols, including but not limited to SFTP.
Strong problem-solving skills to analyse and troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes and developing practical solutions in both a proactive and reactive manner.
Excellent professional communications skills, polite and patient. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to internal employees and external 3rd parties, ensuring that you know your audience and use appropriate vocabulary and terminology that your audience will understand (technical and non-technical, business teams).
Experience of developing within and using SAP Integration Suite (SAP IS, formerly CPI) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Experience of SAP XI or PI is especially valuable.
Experience with using the Backoffice Management Cockpits in SAP Commerce Cloud (formerly Hybris), Jira, Confluence or similar tools. Familiarity with agile methodologies and terminology, CD-CI pipelines, devops etc.
Ability to prioritise and plan workload to ensure deadlines set by business are met and to use your own initiate to work independently as well as within a small but busy team.
