We are excited to share an opportunity to join our central IT team as IT Technician.
Were looking for a proactive, IT professional with experience providing technician support to users ideally within an education setting. In this role, you will be first point of contact for staff seeking IT support either remotely or in person. You will provide technical support, advice and training to staff, ensuring the standard helpdesk operating procedure is applied to resolve and escalate incidents and service requests.
Youll work with the IT support manager to install, configure and test new IT hardware and software, as well as fault diagnosis and repair of IT portable devices, equipment and consumables.
In this role, you will be responsible for the ordering of equipment for the office, academies and remote staff locations, ensuring the asset register is updated and maintained for all managed equipment and software.
This role is a remote working role with regular travel to the Birmingham office, OAT academies and other locations as required.

About You
We are looking for a candidate with experience providing technical support, practical experience of troubleshooting hardware locally and remotely. You will hold a recognised computer or network qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
You will have working knowledge of Microsoft cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint as well as Azure, Entra and Intune admin cloud services.
Youll have the ability to troubleshoot, and problem solve desktop and user based technical issues quickly and efficiently to provide an exceptional service. The ability to manage priorities in a busy, complex environment whilst meeting agreed deadlines and timescales is critical to this role.
