Job Title: Java Developer - Investment Bank - Bournemouth ONSITE
Location: Bournemouth On-Site 5 days per week.
Salary/Rate: £270pd
Start Date: August 2025
Job Type: Contract 12 months
Company Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a global investment bank in a fast-paced and collaborative development team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in back-end Java development and be confident working within a modern, cloud-native environment.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications
Build and deploy microservices using Spring Boot
Work on cloud-based infrastructure leveraging AWS services
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to manage containerised applications using Kubernetes
Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support
Contribute to architecture and design discussions
Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance code is delivered
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Architecture
Required Skills/Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java development
Proficiency in Spring Boot framework
Experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
Familiar with agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
