📌 JAVA Developer – 6-Month Contract
📍 Location: London (Hybrid)
🛢️ Industry: Oil & Gas (Nice to have not mandate)

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We're looking for a skilled Java Developer with a strong background in building desktop and rich client applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWT, Swing, JavaFX, and UI testing, and will be comfortable working in a Front Office environment closely aligned with business teams.
CORE REQUIREMENTS: 8+ Years of experience
✅ Strong experience in:
- AWT, Swing, JavaFX
- UI testing
- Desktop / client-server / rich client application development
✅ Proficiency in:
- Java (Java 17)
- IDE tools: IntelliJ or Eclipse
- Build tools: Maven, GIT, Jenkins
- APIs: RESTful Web Services
NICE TO HAVE:
- Frameworks/Tools: Spring Boot, JPA, Kerberos
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Ansible, Docker, OpenShift
- Testing: BDD, Cucumber
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain rich client desktop applications
- Perform thorough UI testing to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with stakeholders and business teams for requirement gathering and solutioning
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
