We are looking for a skilled Java & Kotlin Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Java, growing expertise in Kotlin, and a solid understanding of modern backend architectures, APIs, and cloud-native development.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin
Build scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices
Write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices
Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
Maintain documentation for developed features and services

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with Java (Java 8+)
Hands-on experience with Kotlin (production-level preferred)
Experience with Spring / Spring Boot (or similar frameworks)

Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles

Experience building and consuming REST APIs

Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases

Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows

Employment type:- Inside IR35 Contract.

It would be hybrid working in Burgress Hill, UK
