Journal Specialist to help shape the future of academic publishing at Frontiers. This is your chance to be part of a mission-driven team that’s redefining how science is shared with the world.
What You’ll Do
As a Journal Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our publishing operations—curating, connecting, and catalyzing progress. You will:
- Lead the full journey of article collections (Research Topics), from concept to publication.
- Build lasting relationships with editors and researchers, championing our journals and fostering trust within the academic community.
- Grow your assigned Specialty Sections into field leaders through strategic, data-informed initiatives.
- Elevate team performance by sharing insights, reporting progress, and participating in trainings.
- Conduct outreach calls and confidently engage in proactive, cold-call-style conversations.
- Enhance the author experience by responding to feedback and driving process improvements.
- Evaluate editorial board composition and recruit new members to strengthen our network.
About You
You’re a natural communicator with a sharp analytical mind and a passion for open science. You bring:
- Exceptional written and verbal English skills.
- A relationship-building mindset with a flair for digital and in-person engagement.
- Data-savviness and a drive to optimize performance.
- Comfort with new tools and a hunger to learn.
- Strong time management and project coordination skills.
- A results-focused, collaborative spirit with a proactive approach.
- Sound judgment and professionalism in diverse interactions.
- A graduate degree or higher—and a genuine interest in advancing research dissemination.
