The role: The DevSecOps team at DCA is dedicated to proactively building and implementing services that enhance operational capabilities and improve the reliability of our systems, using software engineering and automation as our primary toolkit. Team members draw on broad experience across the modern cloud technology stack to provide 3rd-line support for productions and development systems, always looking for opportunities to improve, secure, fix, and automate wherever possible.

• Salary: From £35,000 per annum - Depending on Experience
• Working Pattern: Hybrid, with occasional office attendance to London office when required

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the maintenance and improvement of our Azure-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Assist in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Contribute to platform monitoring and incident response, with opportunities to grow skills in security and automation
• Collaborate with developers and security teams to promote a secure software development lifecycle.
• Participate in the on-call rota (after a supported onboarding and shadowing period) to help ensure 24/7 availability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2–3 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Exposure to Azure services and pipelines (e.g., VMs, App Services, Function Apps, Azure DevOps).
• Basic understanding of Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• A confident communicator who is unafraid to ask questions and share ideas.

Technical Stack & Relevant Experience

While specific technologies can vary, we expect candidates to demonstrate experience across most of the following areas (with our current stack in brackets):

• Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Configuration as code
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
• Cloud infrastructure (Azure)
• Microservices architecture
• Perimeter networking
• Observability and monitoring (RUM, APM, synthetic monitoring)
