Junior Management Accountant

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cheil Finance team in our London office as a Junior Management Accountant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to prepare financial and management information to aid commercial decision-making.

Liaising closely with key internal stakeholders, you will provide them with dedicated support on all commercial drivers at agency, department and client level.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts in line with corporate reporting deadlines including income recognition, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and commentaries for reporting packs.
• Management at both agency and client level of balance sheet items linked to jobs; specifically WIP, accrued and deferred income, debtors, creditors and cash-flow
• Conducting WIP meetings and following up on action points
• Preparing client chargeability reports
• Reconciling credit card usage and checking staff expenses ensuring correct VAT treatment
• Support the team with tax and audit matters
• Providing system training to new starters and effectively communicating financial best practice to all staff
• Ad hoc reporting and commercial analysis

• Understand the importance of strong internal controls, which balance the operational needs of the business and effectively manage risk
• Strong analytical skills with the initiative to resolve issues or pursue business opportunities as they are identified
• Strong excel skills with experience of using advanced functions and pivot table.
• Experience working in a Finance department

Please note this role is a 1 year fixed term contract in the first instance with a view to extend or convert to perm.

This role offers a hybrid working environment with 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days working from home.
