Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, Ward 9 (Wexham Park Hospital)
We are delighted to offer an exciting development opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to join our dedicated team on Ward 9.
Ward 9 is a dynamic and expanding unit that specialises in General Medical and Respiratory care. Over the past year, the department has grown significantly, and we are now looking for an enthusiastic nurse leader to help drive the next stage of our development.
As Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work closely with senior multi-professional colleagues to support a flexible, high-dependency service that meets the needs of our patients and the wider trust. You will play a key role in ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered, in line with both local and national guidelines.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Leadership: Lead patient care planning, delivery, and evaluation on each shift, advising on acute patient needs.
Role Model: Promote patient-centred care, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and knowledge for critically ill patients.
Standards & Quality: Develop evidence-based care standards, conduct audits, and evaluate nursing practice.
Education & Development: Contribute to teaching and practice development, supporting nurses and healthcare professionals.
Infection Control: Apply and promote infection prevention standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, comprehensive records in line with Trust and NMC guidelines.
Problem-Solving: Support senior staff in managing incidents, complaints, and team issues, implementing preventative measures.
Policy Compliance: Act in line with Trust policies and procedures.
Professional Growth: Maintain own professional development profile.
Team Support: Provide leadership during complex or traumatic situations.
Unit Coordination: Act as Nurse in Charge, overseeing admissions, transfers, and workload management.
