Junior Windows Engineer, Devices

We’re looking for a proactive and passionate Junior Windows Engineer to join our Devices team. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and the Tech Lead to design, deliver and support our Devices roadmap, focusing particularly on Windows, SCCM, Intune, Antivirus and EPM solutions - as well as developing a range of capabilities across the team.

This is a hands-on role, offering an excellent opportunity to build your technical skills and develop broad capabilities within device management. You’ll also collaborate with other product teams, contributing to the delivery of our wider Workplace Technology strategy.

The team

The Devices team sits at the heart of the colleague experience at ITV, delivering solutions to complex problems to enable ITV to achieve its strategic objectives. We operate at pace, but also recognise that work should be enjoyable, empowering everyone to have a voice and encouraging collaboration and healthy debate.

Responsible for the management and lifecycle of ITV’s Mac, Windows, iOS and print devices, the team also oversees Antivirus and Windows Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM); keeping ITV equipped with the latest features and innovations in workplace technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of incidents and see them through to completion with support from the wider team
  • Troubleshoot, support and provide information to assist in incident resolution
  • Contribute towards documentation and process creation
  • Create material to allow end-users to self serve
  • Identify areas for personal development which will contribute towards the overall success of the team
  • Develop understanding of the Agile way of working
  • Assist the Business Analysts with requirements gathering
  • Support the delivery of the Devices Roadmap, including migrating to modern Windows management using Intune and Autopilot.
  • Package and deploy applications across ITV’s device management platforms.
  • Manage and maintain monthly patching cycle and reporting
  • Maintenance of Antivirus estate
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Devices estate.
  • Work closely with the other Devices Engineers to ensure both operational and project activities are delivered without disruption to ITV.
  • Run test scenarios to ensure new features and functionality are released to a high standard.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and trends within the wider industry and identify areas where these could be applied to ITV to deliver against the More than TV strategy.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Industry qualifications in Intune
  • Industry qualifications related to Windows OS
  • At least 2+ years experience of managing SCCM and/or Intune in a large scale environment (1000+ users)
  • Experience of packaging Windows apps as well as Windows patch management using tools such as WSUS.
  • Ability to translate technical implementations into business friendly explanations and to demo functionality and encourage and foster feedback
  • Focused on delivering secure, technically sound products that don’t compromise on user experience
  • Knowledge of industry trends and demonstrable proactive approach to staying on top of developments in the Device Management space.
  • Demonstrable experience collaborating with team members to deliver solutions
  • Experience of Antivirus management and Privilege Management consoles are beneficial

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Passion for technology and a keen understanding of cybersecurity
  • Proactive, self motivated and eager to learn
  • Good technical, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • User experience focused mindset
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles
  • Experience in the media industry is a plus, but not essential

Closing date: 14th August 2025

Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
