Role: Kafka Architect

Location: Leeds,UK

Job Type: Contract

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years in data engineering/streaming, with 4+ years of hands-on Kafka architecture experience.
Expertise in Apache Kafka (open source and/or Confluent Platform).
Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging paradigms.
Proficiency in Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, Kafka Connect, and schema evolution.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS MSK, Azure Event Hubs for Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub Kafka-compatible).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex Kafka ecosystem issues.
