As a Key Account Manager, you will be field-based in South Lincolnshire, working closely with our distribution partner to provide dedicated, local support.


You will take full ownership of your territory by building trusted relationships with the distributor, offering tailored technical advice with a commercial approach, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions that deliver real results on the farm.


Key duties:


Distributor Support:

  • Provide hands-on, dedicated support to our distribution partner
  • Ensuring the successful adoption of TIMAC AGRO solutions on farm.
  • Delivering targeted training on our range of solutions, sharing both technical expertise and commercially driven insights to the distribution partner and their technical team.
  • Support distribution advisors on farm and over the phone
  • Build trusted relationships with distributor advisors


Farm Visits & Sales

  • In partnership with the distributor, you will book appointments with farmers, develop trusted relationships, and drive sales growth by delivering commercially focused insights on the TA solutions.
  • Territory Development: Drive and expand on-farm sales of our solutions, Soil Conditioners, and Animal Nutrition/Welfare products.
  • Retain existing business with regular visits to ensure products are performing as sold and provide the farms with feedback on crop, soil and animal health. Grow business with other solutions that will give the farmers an ROI
  • Being analytical and data driven when recommending solutions or following up on farms
  • Conduct on farm trials of products to demonstrate yours and Timac’s products value.


Technical & Agronomic Support

  • Develop and present Nutrient Management Plans and other farm-specific recommendations, providing clear commercial reasoning and demonstrating ROI for the farmer.
  • Analyse soil, crop, and animal health data to deliver tailored, technically robust solutions.
  • Support distributor teams with technical back-up, ensuring confidence in presenting TIMAC AGRO solutions.
  • Ensure that you’re always up to date with industry knowledge (including regulatory requirements) by analysing regional market trends and discovering new opportunities for growth.


CRM

  • Ensure you CRM is updated regularly with detail reports of discussions had on farm, details added to farms account


Communication

  • Be confident at communicating with farmers and different types of people.
  • Be able to work on your own and be self motivated but also share successes with colleague sand support others within the wider TAUK team.
  • Be able to communicate well with other businesses and distributors, develop the relationship and leverage this to help grow territory.


Self motivated

  • Find solutions to problems, identify new ways to drive territory growth.


Person specification:

  • A full UK Driving License
  • Must hold an up-to-date FACTS Certification
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Must have the ability to work independently in a field-based sales role.
  • Nutrient Management & Agronomy – experience in preparing or interpreting Nutrient Management Plans. RB209, or similar guidance.
  • On-farm Experience – background in farming, agronomy, or commercially advising farmers, with credibility to engage in technical discussions.
  • Distribution/Trade Experience – experience working with or through agricultural distributors, merchants, or cooperatives.
  • Results-driven mindset – motivated by solving on-farm challenges and confident selling across a diverse product portfolio while working towards clear sales KPIs.


Education (desirable)

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, or related discipline.
