Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £ 12.75 per hour

Hours: 40 per week

A co-educational, independent day & Boarding school in Wokingham, Berkshire. The school provides education for boys and girls aged between 3 months and 18 years. Feeding about 1000 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch & supper with a fair amount of hospitality throughout the year. This is a term time contract for the main school & 52 week for the nursery and operates 7 days a week. Working patterns are mixed across 7 days. Additional benefit to this location is free parking onsite.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Sindlesham.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Key Skills

Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
Excellent customer service skills
Great team player
Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times

Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment

Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.

Operate industrial dishwasher

We Are Looking For

Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
Can do attitude.
Organisation Skills.

Knowledge / Competencies

Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
