Your Mission
Manchester Airport never sleeps, and neither does global commerce. As our Landside Planner, you'll be the strategic mastermind behind our UK & Ireland cargo operations, transforming complex logistics challenges into seamless solutions. From coordinating live animal transports that require split-second timing to managing high-value automotive shipments, you'll ensure that every piece of cargo is treated with the precision and care it deserves.

What You'll Master
- Customer Excellence: Communicate with internal and external customers, building relationships that drive our reputation for reliability
- Strategic Planning: Organise and allocate daily schedules, routes and capacity for a team of drivers, optimising efficiency across our network
- Operational Leadership: Organise and supervise vehicle loading/unloading to DVSA standard and trailer availability, ensuring seamless operations
- Documentation Management: Ensure all required driver and accounting documentation is completed and filed accordingly, maintaining our regulatory excellence
- Fleet Excellence: Ensure service and maintenance plan for vehicles is planned, defects actioned and communicated to workshops in a timely manner
- Compliance Mastery: Ensure full compliance is adhered to reference vehicle weight, driver hours and vehicles being safe and road legal
- Technology Integration: Manage ABS/TMS system and demonstrate good working knowledge of MS Office
- Safety Leadership: Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment
- Professional Development: Class 1 + E desirable but not essential - we'll support your growth
- Security Clearance: Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report
Your Schedule
- 42 hours per week across Monday-Friday shifts
- Flexibility is key - the job holder must have a flexible approach to working variable shift patterns within our 24-hour operation
