We are seeking an experienced Lawful Interception (LI) Manager to lead and manage the entire lifecycle of lawful interception processes within our organization. The role involves overseeing LI compliance, coordinating with law enforcement agencies, managing technical partner onboarding, and ensuring timely and secure execution of interception requests in line with legal frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end lawful interception process ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate and liaise with government agencies, law enforcement bodies, and internal stakeholders to facilitate lawful interception requests.
  • Oversee technical partner onboarding, including selection, evaluation, and integration of LI solution providers and vendors.
  • Ensure timely implementation and maintenance of lawful interception capabilities across telecom and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and audit lawful interception activities to ensure adherence to legal mandates and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (network, IT, security) to ensure infrastructure readiness and troubleshoot any interception-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to LI processes, escalation procedures, and compliance reports.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions for relevant teams on lawful interception policies and compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on legal and technological developments related to lawful interception and update processes accordingly.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in telecom/network security, lawful interception, compliance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of UK legal framework related to lawful interception (OFCOM, IT Act, etc.).
  • Experience managing LI technical solutions and coordinating with multiple stakeholders including government agencies.
  • Familiarity with telecom network architecture, protocols, and interception technologies.
  • Proven vendor management and onboarding experience.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
  • Certification in cybersecurity, telecom, or compliance is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working with Lawful Interception vendors or agencies.
  • Knowledge of network security, data privacy laws, and cyber security best practices.
