What You’ll Do
As a Layout Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development and coordination of facility and system layouts on large-scale nuclear infrastructure projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring that equipment, systems, and structures are optimally arranged to meet safety, operational, and regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update general arrangement drawings and 3D models for facility and system layouts
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural inputs into a cohesive plant layout
- Conduct layout reviews and clash detection to ensure design integrity
- Validate compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders
- Manage interface coordination and resolve spatial or design conflicts across systems
Who You Are
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in layout engineering for infrastructure or nuclear/industrial facilities
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., PDMS, E3D, CATIA, or similar)
- Solid understanding of spatial planning, access/maintenance constraints, and integration principles
- Familiarity with relevant nuclear or industrial regulations and standards
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with attention to detail
