Join Our Team as an LCL Import Operator!
Uniserve is seeking a dedicated
LCL Import Operator to join our dynamic team. The LCL Ocean Import Operator is responsible for managing the import process of shipments that are consolidated in ocean containers with other cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Management: Coordinate and oversee LCL ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Documentation & Customs: Prepare, review, and manage all necessary import documents and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Communication & Tracking: Liaise with shipping lines, brokers, and clients to track shipments, monitor schedules, and provide status updates.
- Logistics Coordination: Arrange for inland transportation and warehouse handling of cargo after its arrival.
- Compliance & Problem-Solving: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulations, while promptly resolving any issues like delays or discrepancies.
You will have:
- Basic knowledge of LCL freight forwarding
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in working in an office environment
- Confidence to speak to customer/suppliers over phone & email
- Team Player
