About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.

What you'll be doing
To be part of an effective project Quality Team and support CWA to deliver the project in accordance with customer and stakeholder requirements and commitments, including verification activities to demonstrate full compliance with Sizewell C, project and legislative requirements.
As a Lead Auditor, you will play a critical role in assuring the quality and compliance of our delivery. You will plan, lead, and follow up on audits across delivery teams and supply chain, and support client audits on CWA. Your insights will strengthen our governance, reinforce compliance with the Clients Quality Assurance Specification, including ISO 9001 and ISO 19443, and support continual improvement.
Who we're looking for
Proven experience as a Lead Auditor in major infrastructure, nuclear, or other high-integrity industrial projects.
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 (essential); familiarity with ISO 19443 (desirable).
- In-depth understanding of audit principles, quality assurance, and control systems in regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, manage findings, and oversee QA/QC processes within construction or engineering projects.
- Preferably holds a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in quality roles within ground engineering, geotechnical works, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Skilled in supporting and advising delivery and engineering teams, as well as engaging constructively with suppliers.
- Comfortable working with senior management, and confident in constructively challenging existing practices to drive improvement.
- Capable of providing quality leadership and building trust with cross-functional teams, project managers, supply chain, and client stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to identify patterns and systemic issues.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
- Proactive, self-driven, and innovative with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of configuration management, lifetime quality records (LTQRs), and surveillance strategies is advantageous.
