The Lead Business Insight Analyst role is a senior member of the Business Insights team and is responsible for implementing advanced data science methodologies and supporting data-driven decision-making across clinical and operational areas. Reporting to the Head of Business Insight, the postholder will focus on the implementation and optimisation of analytics models and frameworks to enhance the Group’s strategic planning capabilities.
The postholder will create and optimise data modelling architecture and developed machine learning pipelines for scalable deployment. Statistical methods will be used and applied to analyse healthcare data, developing accurate models for trend analysis, forecasting, and outcome measurement. The postholder will collaborate with stakeholders to convert business needs into technical solutions, producing structured and insightful reports for effective decision-making.
The postholder will work closely with Care Group leads, translating service priorities into detailed operational plans. They will analyse service developments, review business cases, and develop capacity models that provide a clear view of short- and long-term service requirements. Performance forecasting and trajectory modelling are key complementary activities that ensure alignment with NHS performance targets.
The role will involve supporting executive-level ad-hoc requests, providing specialist analytics expertise, and contributing to the development of a portfolio of Business Intelligence tools. The post holder will work as an active member of the Information Management Senior Leadership Team, collaborating to achieve departmental objectives while promoting professional development and compliance with NHS standards.
