About the Role

Seen as a key role to the success of this, the Lead Data Analyst will play an integral role in ensuring our Data Platform and Data Products contain accurate & verifiable data that is consistent across all our Functional Domains. You’ll seek to understand user problems & business processes that the Products relate to and ensure accuracy & validity of our outputs, whilst interpreting underlying data sets to drive business decisions.
Ensuring data quality and accuracy along the value chain will be a core element of the role, as will ensuring user requirements we capture are technically viable, and the outcomes we create are observable, discoverable and accurate reflections of business processes and needs.
You’ll maintain a strong connection to our Group purpose of ‘connecting our communities with a better financial future’ and work in collaboration with the wider Groups’ management community. You will embrace & promote our culture that is focused on being creative, courageous, collaborative, efficient and accountable.
About You
As an experienced Lead Data Analyst, you’ll be proficient in Excel, SQL and querying languages to interrogate data sets, with strong analytical skills and an understanding of statistical analysis. The ability to present complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential for the role, as is the ability to develop strong interpersonal connections to collaborate with both the Data team and across functional domains.
An understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools, including data lakehouse is essential, as is the ability to comprehend data engineering principles such as ETL processes and data integrations techniques.
Experience with R or Python would be beneficial, but is not essential for the role.
