As a Lead Document Controller at Baker Hughes, you will co-ordinate Document Control for large-scale subsea projects. This is a Client-facing role in a high profile and dynamic project environment with great scope for growth and development.
Essential Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the management of technical documentation for large-scale subsea projects including storage, review, approval, and distribution.
- Act as the single point of contact for the Client on Document Control-related matters.
- Supervise and direct the project Global Document Control team.
- Identify Client contractual Document Control requirements and implement a compliant project-specific Document Management Plan.
- Manage the Master Document Register (MDR) in an electronic document management system (EDMS) throughout the project.
- Distribute a suite of Document Control reports and metrics to Baker Hughes and the Client.
- Drive on time delivery of technical documentation throughout the project.
- Ensure adherence to global SP&S standards for Document Control.
- Identify improvement opportunities and escalate concerns to the Document Control leadership and project teams and help to implement improvements.
- Help raise the profile of Document Control on the project and across the wider SP&S business.
Essential
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Significant experience in a Document Control role
- Demonstrable experience of co-ordination in a role
- Experience of using systems in a role
Desirable
- Extensive experience in a Senior Document Control or similar role
- Experience of co-ordinating document management on projects
- Major project experience
- Experience in Oil and Gas or similar engineering environment
- Experience of using multiple document management systems
