Key Responsibilities Main Purpose of Job:
The main purpose of the job is to provide oversight for all hard services whether work is executed internally or utilizes contractors. Role has total control for facilities and maintenance support services, ensuring the organization is compliant and that all scheduled maintenance is carried out per specifications and schedules. Supports the Facilities team with general day-to-day tasks such as PM maintenance, laboratory maintenance, mechanical/electrical contractor task, etc. At times will pitch in to support laboratory / office moves, deliveries & removals, maintaining levels of stock or maintaining the helpdesk daily with ad-hoc duties.
Provide Immunocore with a single point of contact and competent person, in relation to planned maintenance tasks specifically for fire systems. Manage all tasks for fire doors, emergency lighting, fire dampers, fire compartmentation and fire risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize maintenance of building associated systems, coordinating remedial works with Facility Coordinator for all task outside of contracts.
- Manage Building Management System (BMS) reviewing alarm logs daily.
- Lead all PM tasks in relation to fire system obligations including coordination.
- Point of contact for registration of contractors, ensuring RAMS are in place and suitable for planned works, issuing and close out of permits as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and facilitate corrective action for research and CL3 labs (HVAC, -80 Freezers, Fume Hoods, BSCs, etc.)
- Ensure all task/paperwork in relation to statutory tests and inspections in collaboration with Facility Coordinator are completed per PM.
- Ensure EH&S compliance and highlight any concerns to EH&S immediately.
- Identify and deal with issues on a pro-active basis to ensure a clean, safe and tidy workplace
- Assist the stores team, as required, with delivery of supplies.
- Point of contact for Facilities related task in the absence of the Facilities Director.
Supervisory Responsibility (If applicable):
Education, Experience and Knowledge:
Essential Qualifications:
- 3- 5 years related maintenance experience or equivalent preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of BMS and CMMS systems. AMICI knowledge is a plus.
- IOSH Managing Safely (D)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation surrounding Fire obligations
- Have good communication skills to communicate effectively with the team, management, and other stakeholders.
- Minimum GCSE qualified or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge:
- Worked within a Facilities and/or maintenance role
- Applied basic DIY and engineering skills in a work environment
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Applied and had training of Health & Safety (HS)
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Permit to Work systems.
Other:
- Daily completion of tasks, relevant to the role, which come into the Facilities Helpdesk. Ensuring tasks are dealt with efficiently and any issues are escalated to the appropriate person as necessary, i.e. Facilities Director, Stores Manager or Contractors
- Providing cover for members of the facilities team, as required, during periods of absence
- Support any other activity the company deems appropriate for role.
