Lead Physiologist (Intra-operative Neurophysiological monitoring)

Applications are invited for the of post Lead Physiologist in Spinal Surgery

Managerial responsibility for day to day running of the Intra operative neuro monitoring service (IONM) for Spine.

Provides highly complex, specialist Clinical Neurophysiology service to spine patient of all ages from a range of specialties suffering from a wide range of medical disorders including those, which may be neurological in nature.

Perform highly complex tasks with high accuracy and speed to achieve quality data / interpretation / reporting in challenging patients, circumstances or environments, e.g.; highly complex intra-operative monitoring procedures in theatre.

Monitor and maintain high professional standards of Neurophysiological services to patients and may initiate remedial action where necessary.

Perform, assess and interpret highly specialist & complex IOM intra operative neurophysiology procedures tailored to specific patient needs and surgical procedures, under the supervision and guidance of Consultant medical staff in the absence of a Consultant Neurophysiologist, in collaboration with requesting Orthopaedic surgeons and Neurosurgeons.
