PURPOSE OF JOB:
Bytes Software Services is expanding its Technical Pre-Sales capabilities, especially in Cyber and Network Security.
We are seeking a senior-level Cyber Security Team Lead to provide strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise across pre-sales engagements. This player-manager role will lead the Cyber Security Presales team, ensuring consistent delivery of consultative, vendor-agnostic solutions that align with customer outcomes and business strategy. The role will also act as a strategic partner to Enterprise and Corporate teams, supporting mature security conversations and guiding customers through complex solution landscapes.
The successful candidate will lead and contribute to comprehensive technical pre-sales engagements, shaping compelling solution proposals and producing accurate, high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs). They will work closely with Bytes' Cyber Security and Network Security delivery teams to ensure alignment between presales strategy and service execution, while also setting standards and mentoring others in the team on best practice delivery.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Cyber Security Presales team, providing coaching, mentoring and performance oversight.
- Act as strategic point of contact for Enterprise and Corporate customers, offering holistic Cyber Security guidance across multiple vendors and services.
- Own the development and standardisation of Cyber Security solution proposals and SOWs, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with the Cyber Solutions team to align presales and delivery efforts, enhancing customer experience and solution outcomes.
- Represent Cyber Security in cross-functional initiatives, contributing to strategic planning and service development.
- Maintain technical involvement in key customer engagements, supporting complex opportunities and escalations
- Provide strategic input to account planning and customer engagement strategies.
- Lead internal initiatives to improve Cyber Security presales processes, tooling and documentation.
- Act as a senior escalation point for technical and commercial queries related to Cyber Security.
- Collaborate across internal teams to enhance service offerings and customer engagement effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Cyber Solutions team and vendor management.
Key Requirements
Required Skills
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Cyber Security, including leadership in a pre-sales or consulting capacity
- Professional certifications highly desirable: CISSP, CEH, CCSE, CCNA, or vendor-specific certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Show a similar chronology of demonstrable hands-on experience in Solution Design, Enterprise Architecture, or Enterprise Information Technology.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering strategic customer engagements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable addressing both technical and business stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- Strong understanding of multi-vendor Cyber Security ecosystems and service delivery models.
- Strong customer-centric approach with proven ability to translate customer needs into clear, business-focused solutions.
- Digital leadership skills, capable of empowering and leading pre-sales engagements.
- Agility and adaptability, able to keep pace with the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
- Excellent decision-making skills, capable of providing timely, informed recommendations.
