Job Title: Lead Recruitment Business Partner (Asset Management)

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London (Fenchurch Street)

Working Style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are seeking an experienced Lead Recruitment Business Partner to join Royal London’s internal recruitment team based in London. Reporting to the Head of Recruitment, this role is key in shaping and delivering recruitment strategies for our Asset Management division. The position calls for strong leadership, extensive talent acquisition knowledge, and excellent collaboration with stakeholders to provide candidates with a smooth experience. Ideal applicants will have previous experience working in internal or RPO recruitment teams, along with a background in financial services, preferably asset management.

About the role:

Develop and implement a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Royal London Group goals and objectives, in collaboration with the People Leadership Team and Business Leadership.
Lead and develop members of the Recruitment Team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to act as brand ambassadors and attract diverse, quality talent.

Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand their staffing needs and develop proactive recruitment plans.

Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates for all levels and roles.

Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

Continuously evaluate recruitment service levels, processes, and technology performance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment partners to leverage their expertise and resources.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to drive innovation and ensure competitiveness in attracting quality talent.

Develop and monitor key recruitment metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies.

Collaborate with the wider People Team to ensure seamless integration of talent acquisition with other HR processes.

Where directed by the Head of Recruitment, provide support to the Senior Leadership Team key initiatives supporting the people plan / business unit strategy, including, but not limited to people leadership, people management and employment-related issues to ensure people, resourcing, performance development and talent and succession plan outcomes are delivered

About you:

Experience in a senior-level talent acquisition role, preferably within Financial Services / Asset Management
Proven track record in setting up and establishing a new recruitment service/team
Effective commercial and vendor management experience
Up-to-date knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and recruitment technology landscape
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills to drive actionable insights and improvements with a focus on EDI

Drive campaign delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, and risks.
Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes.
Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
Proven track record of projects delivery – excellent planning, coordination, and organisation skills.

Stakeholder management and strong influencing skills.
